Bahamas Faith Ministries International (BFMI)

Bahamas Faith Ministries International is a legally established company registered under the Companies Act of the Commonwealth of the Bahamas; a non-profit company limited by guarantee. BFMI received its registration on the 14th day of December, 1982. BFMI is officially licensed to conduct business within and outside the Bahamas in accordance with the goals and objectives as stated in the Memorandum and Articles of Association of Bahamas Faith Ministries International.

BFMI is an affiliate member with the International Convention of Faith Churches and Ministries in Tulsa, Oklahoma/USA that is an independent organization established as a resource entity for independent churches and ministries around the World. BFMI is also a member of the International Charismatic Bible Ministries (ICBM) founded by Dr. Oral Roberts in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

ADMINISTRATION

BFMI is under the Administration of a Board of Directors with a President and Vice President Order. A Council of Management, comprised of twenty-two Directors, is responsible for the management and control of the affairs of the ministry.

BFMI IS NOT A CHURCH

BFMI is a not a church nor a denomination but in its commitment to the historic Christian faith, it is the purpose of BFMI to serve as a Christian Growth and Resource Center; a Charismatic teaching fellowship and International Outreach Center.

BFMI is the Parent Company of a multifaceted organization: Bahamas Faith Ministries International Fellowship; The International Third World Leaders Association (ITWLA); International Leadership Training Institute (ILTI) and Leading Edge Leadership (LEL).

VISION

To identify, train, develop, mobilize and release the untapped leader within every human being, especially those of the Third World context. This will be accomplished by maximizing one's true potential in the discovery of personal purpose and destiny in the fulfillment of God's ultimate purpose for mankind. (Acts 26:18 & Hosea 4:6)

FOCUS -- THE THIRD WORLD

The Third World concept describes any people who were not allowed to participate or benefit fully from the progressive advancement and development of the Industrial Revolution. Many were reduced to slaves, indentured servants or trapped by a political, social, cultural or economic system that robbed them of their sense of identity, dignity self-worth, and self-respect. They were not allowed to develop or maximize the great potential and skills given to each of us by our Creator.

Third World people consist of ethnic groups, cultures, languages and geographic locations. Many are existing within the boundaries of industrialized States struggling to find their sense of purpose and self-worth. Many are trapped in the darkness of ignorance as victims of oppression.

"?My people are destroyed from lack of knowledge..." (Hosea 4:6)

"...I am sending you to them to open their eyes and turn them from darkness to light and from the power of satan to God, so that they may receive forgiveness of sins and a place among those who are sanctified by faith in me" (Acts 26:18)

1. Go forward!!!
2. Establish a world-class International Leadership Training Institute based on biblical principles.
3. Be an international Church that sees the world as its responsibility. Therefore, we strive to become a model, prototype and standard rather than an example.
4. Formally train leaders in every walk of life to return to their own countries as leaders of leaders.
5. For the past 20 plus years, politicians, CEO's, kings, laymen, religious leaders, domestic workers and others in every profession have found their way to a place known as the Diplomat Center, the home of Bahamas Faith Ministries International. Therefore, we are:

A Personal Letter From Dr. Myles Munroe

Dear Friend,

'Effective Living' magazine is designed to serve as our premier communication link to you, our most precious family. Over the past few years we have received your letters, E-Mail, faxes and cards along with thousands of others from around the world, and have found it to be a challenge to respond effectively and efficiently to your most important correspondence.

My staff and I have endeavored to improve our ability to respond in a timely manner and keep YOU up-to-date on developments in the ministry and its world-wide outreach. We have attempted a number of items such as a Newsletter and periodic magazines under the name of 'The Ambassador'. However, due to inadequate staff and editorial expertise, we were unable to maintain the consistency you deserved.

Well, I am pleased and happy to say that we are now ready to serve you with the quality and excellence you deserve through the introduction of our flagship Magazine for our world-wide family of partners, 'Effective Living'. This first-class publication will provide you with a personal message from me, updates on the ministry and the Vision, field reports of our outreaches through the various facets of ministry, stories of interests, news items from around the world, leadership advice, your letters and prayer requests, missions reports, and much more. 'Effective Living' will be published quarterly and sent to all of our friends and partners.

'Effective Living' will also feature articles by many colleges and ministries designed to encourage, educate and counsel. I know you will be blessed and I do look forward to hearing from you.
